purchased the Microchip MPLAB ICE 2000 USB Converter (ACICE0108) to use
USB with
the MPLAB ICE 2000 emulator.&nbsp; (There is no built-in USB capability
on the emulator.) The converter is <span style="font-weight: bold;">not</span>
a standard USB-to-parallel converter, but one specifically designed for
the emulator.<br>

you have
already chosen a Windows driver instead of the Microchip driver for
this
device, you will have to preform a "clean" using the utility&nbsp;
MPUsbClean.exe
found in the Utilities folder of the MPLAB IDE installation directory.
Follow the instructions in this utlity and then return here to install
the correct drivers.&nbsp;</font></font></font>

There may also be a dialog box that informs the user that a device data

dialogs appear, the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box (shown at the
right)
is displayed. Select "Specify the location of the driver..." and then
click
